Thank you to everyone who joined our first virtual event. From Edinburgh to Auckland, Gladstone to Melbourne, and right across the Sunshine Coast. From the age of 20 to 74, people ran, walked and wheeled, their way around the world.
Every runner had a story and we were very touched with every incredible and inspiring story that was shared with us. For some it was their longest run, for others it was their first run. Three generations of one family ran together. One woman ran to honour a friend recently lost to COVID19.
Claudine ran in her hotel room during quarantine in Auckland, Jaimie ran in 50 degrees in the desert of Saudi Arabia, Lisa ran around Edinburgh Castle, Bridget ran a HM to celebrate her birthday, Robert ran a PB HM in the freezing rain, and Darron, Jason and Dave (paratriathletes) completed 3 full marathons in a handcycle.
Medal were posted or delivered in person, to each athlete who participated.
